JOLO, SULU (28 July 2024/ 26 Muharram 1446 AH) — In line with the manifestation to bring the Bangsamoro Government closer to the People, Chief Minister Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim led the convergence program dubbed as TABANG Bangsamoro, which aims to fulfill the Government of the day’s pledge to help its constituents in the grassroots and deliver immediate direct services to the Bangsamoro people.
The program was initiated by the office of the chief minister through the project management office headed by Assistant Senior Minister, also Project Manager Abdullah “Dong” Cusain, in coordination with the ministries and offices of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), it benefited more than 15,000 individuals.
“Itong TABANG is a regular program na ginagawa natin sa BARMM kasama ang ministries; nagko-converge sa isang lugar para magbigay ng ayuda, magbigay ng tulong sa mga Bangsamoro doon sa lugar — Nandito ngayon ang karamihan sa mga ministries at magbibigay sila ng tulong,” Chief Minister Ebrahim said in his message.
He also emphasized that the Project TABANG is one of the flagship program of the office of the chief minister in delivering programs and services to ensure that all development efforts are geared towards the attainment of the region’s goal to uplift the lives of the Bangsamoro and establish the foundation of Moral Governance.
During the program, Deputy Project Manager Abobaker I. Edris, together with the unit heads and its field team of Project TABANG, facilitated the distribution of rice assistance, medicines and other social interventions to its beneficiaries from various communities and other nearby areas in Jolo, Sulu.
The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Jolo, represented by Municipal Information Officer Lincoln Tulawie, also expressed appreciation to the Bangsamoro Government, highlighting their gratitude for the attention and support extended to their community, and for the people of Sulu.
