MUNAI, LANAO DEL NORTE — Chief Minister Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim led the TABANG Bangsamoro Convergence Activity, held at Camp Bilal, Sitio Kora-Kora, Barangay Tamparan on Saturday, 17 August 2024.
With its primary components: Health Ancillary Services, Livelihood, and the Humanitarian Response and Services, Project TABANG highlighted various humanitarian services and social development initiatives of different ministries, agencies, and offices of the Bangsamoro Government in providing direct services to the Bangsamoro communities outside the region’s core territory.
“Unang una I am very impressed nakita ko na napakarami ninyo na nagpunta dito. Hindi ko inaasahan na ganito karami ang makikita kong dadalo dito sa programa natin na TABANG. Maraming salamat sa inyong pagdalo, at hopefully itong ginagawa natin ay makatulong sa inyo — Naniniwala ang Bangsamoro Government, na ang TABANG ay isa sa mga paraan para mas mapalapit pa ang gobyerno sa ating mga kababayan sa loob at labas ng Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao”, Chief Minister Ebrahin said in his message.
“Hindi lingid sa ating kaalaman na ang municipality ng Munai at Lanao del Norte ay hindi sakop ng BARMM, ngunit minabuti natin na magpaabot din ng tulong sa mga bangsamorong nasa labas ng BARMM kabilang na ang bayan ng Munai — Hindi lamang natin inilalapit ang serbisyo publiko sa inyo, hatid din natin ang makabagong pamamaraan ng pamamahala na nag ugat sa iisang hangarin natin tungo sa isang progresibo at magandang kinabukasan. Bahagi ito ng pagtatatag ng pundasyon ng moral governance sa ating mga komunidad, muslim man, kristiyano o lumad, lahat ay kasama. Kaya ipinapangako namin na palalakasin pa ang aming mga programa sa inyo”, he added.
The Assistant Senior Minister and Project Manager Abdullah M. Cusain, spearheaded the distribution of 5,000 25 kilograms of rice, along with a medical outreach program, and livelihood support for each resident and individual from various area and town in the province of Lanao del Norte, including the town of Munai.
As part of the event, all ministries, and line agencies collaborated to offer services and support to more than 30,000 beneficiaries from various communities and areas of Lanao del Norte. This aims to enhance the quality of life for citizens, especially those in vulnerable and underserved communities.
Project TABANG’s Health Ancillary Services and the Ministry of Health (MOH) were also able to provide 3,874 beneficiaries with free medical consultations, circumcisions or tuli operations, and distribution of free medicines.
The Livelihood Component provided farmers and individuals with over 2,000 mixed vegetable seeds, 400 corn seeds, and 400 fertilizers.
Along with the Rapid Reaction Team (RRT) and other units of the project management office, Deputy Project Manager Abobaker I. Edris spearheaded the preparations and other logistics for the conduct of the convergence activity at Camp Bilal.
To improve, peacefully develop, and uphold order in every community both inside and beyond the Bangsamoro region, the Bangsamoro government uses many means, including the TABANG Bangsamoro Convergence Activity, with the theme “Bring the Bangsamoro Government closer to the People”.
