BONGAO, TAWI-TAWI — In line with the manifestation to bring the Bangsamoro Government closer to the People, Chief Minister Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim led the convergence program dubbed as TABANG Bangsamoro, which aims to fulfill the Government of the day’s pledge to help its constituents in the grassroots and deliver immediate direct services to the Bangsamoro People, particularly in the island province of Tawi-Tawi on 25 May 2024.
The program was initiated by the Office of the Chief Minister (OCM) through the project management office, headed by Assistant Senior Minister, also Project Manager Abdullah “Dong” Cusain, in collaboration with the ministries and offices of the Bangsamoro Government, and Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU) of Tawi-Tawi.
“Ang convergence program na ito ay isa sa paraan upang mapabilis ang pagbibigay ng tulong ng gobyerno at maramdaman ng ating kapwa Bangsamoro na ang pamahalaang Bangsamoro ay malapit, maasahan at masasandalan”, Chief Minister Ebrahim said in his message.
“Hindi lamang natin inilalapit ang serbisyo publiko sa inyo, hatid din natin ang makabagong pamamaraan ng pamamahala na nag ugat sa iisang hangarin natin tungo sa sang progresibo at magandang kinabukasan. Bahagi ito ng pagtatatag ng pundasyon ng moral governance sa ating mga komunidad. Kaya ipinapangako namin na palalakasin pa ang aming mga programa sa inyo, dahil ang mas malapit na pamahalaan ay mas makapagbibigay ng mas maraming serbisyo”, he added.
The convergence program exemplifies the power of collaboration, inclusivity, and innovation in driving sustainable community development.
With the partnership of ministries and offices from the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), it benefited more than 10,000 individuals.
Chief Minister Ebrahim also emphasized that the Project TABANG is one of the flagship program of OCM in delivering programs and services to ensure that all development efforts are geared towards the attainment of the region’s goal to uplift the lives of the Bangsamoro and establish the foundation of Moral Governance.
During the program, Deputy Project Manager Abobaker I. Edris, together with the unit heads and its field team of Project TABANG, facilitated the distribution of rice assistance, medical outreach program and other humanitarian services to its beneficiaries from various communities and other nearby areas in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi.
In attendance, Provincial Governor Yshmael “Mang” I. Sali, and Member of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) Parliament Prof. Eddie Alih, delivered their remarks and messages expressing gratitudes to the Bangsamoro leadership alongside BARMM cabinet members, officials from PLGU-Tawi-Tawi, partners, and volunteers.
