Social Preparation

Short Term
The Project TABANG-PMO, with assistance and coordination with concerned ministries, shall identify target areas/communities. Series of meeting with concerned stakeholders shall be done to plan and ensure the success of the activities. The PMO shall also appear at the ground to coordinate with MLGU/BLGU/ MDRRMO/BDRRMO in validating the list of recipients. In addition, the Project TABANG-PMO shall design and produce coupons and develop strategies to ensure the smoothness of the activity flow. The Project TABANG-PMO shall also coordinate with MILG and other concerned agencies or personnel for site preparations.
Long Term
The social preparation shall be conducted by the Project TABANG-PMO and other concerned implementing ministries. In the case of small socio-infrastructure and livelihood assistance, the Project TABANG-PMO shall spearhead the conduct of social preparation. To ensure program awareness and to generate support and commitment from partners, the social preparation shall include the conduct of program orientation for the identified project recipients which shall also include stakeholders, most especially the Local Government Units.
Community profiling and assessment of community needs shall be done to collect data that will: (1) serve as reference in evaluating project implementation and; (2) serve as a benchmark for future programming activities.
A master list of beneficiaries and the appropriate intervention to be extended shall be submitted to Project TABANG-PMO. Livelihood beneficiaries shall be issued with proper identification cards to avoid duplication of assistance provided.
There is also a need to register newly-organized cooperatives and association with the Ministry of Trade, Investments and Tourism (MTIT), hence, a database of beneficiaries shall be maintained at the PMO level.
