Project TABANG spearheaded the distribution of cattles, as part of the Eid’l Adha celebration

MAGUINDANAO DEL NORTE — The Office of the Chief Minister (OCM) through the project management office, spearheaded the cattles and meat distribution program, dubbed as the Social Assistance for Special Tradition, as part of the Eid’l Adha celebration in the Bangsamoro region, held in Old Capitol Open Grounds, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte on Wednesday, 19 June 2024.

The program aims to extend its assistance through the distributions of cow meats and other humanitarian services to the Bangsamoro families, particularly those who are in need during the Eid’l Adha celebration.

A total of 123 cattles distributed to the provinces of Maguindanao del Norte (MDN), Maguindanao del Sur (MDS), Special Geographic Areas (SGA), and Cotabato City.

On June 14, a total of 51 cattles distributed to the families and individuals from the SGA, and 72 cattles to the provinces of MDS, MDN, and Cotabato City on the 19th of June.

The remaining cattles will be distributed to the provinces of Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, and Lanao Areas.

Eid’l Adha is one of the two feasts that Muslims are allowed to celebrate.

It marks the culmination of the pilgrimage or Hajj rites at Minā, Saudi Arabia near Makkah, but it is celebrated by Muslims throughout the world and begins on the 10th of Dhū al-Ḥijjah.

The festive commemoration of the Eid’l Adha allows Muslims around the globe to appreciate blessings, and multiplying it through recognizing and helping those who are in need.
