Project TABANG provides relief assistance and medicines to the families affected by the floods in Matanog

MATANOG, MAGUINDANAO DEL NORTE — The Office of the Chief Minister, Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim through Project TABANG led the distribution of relief assistance, livelihood support and basic medical kits to the affected families and individuals of the flood and landslides due to strong winds and heavy rainfall in the municipality of Matanog, particularly in Barangay Campo Uno on 11 July 2024.

A total of 2,500 of 25 kilograms rice sacks, 2,500 food packs, 168 kitchenwares and 3,000 packs of medicines and vitamins, including blankets, mats, and other emergency kits needed by the victims and affected families.

The assistance was initiated through the project management office, headed by Assistant Senior Minister and also Project Manager Abdullah “Dong” Cusain.

The said distribution was graced by Member of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) Parliament MP Romeo Sema, Matanog Mayor Zohria S. Bansil-Guro, Vice Mayor Sanaira I. Ali-Imam, together with other officials and representatives of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Matanog, and Bangsamoro Government.

Mayor Guro expressed her gratitude for the assistance that the Bangsamoro Government, and Project TABANG provided for the residents of the affected areas and communities in Matanog.
