Project TABANG provides medical assistance and other health-related services during the conduct of Medical Outreach Program in Lamitan City, Basilan

LAMITAN CITY, BASILAN — The Office of the Chief Minister (OCM) through Project TABANG, facilitated the provisions of medicines, and other health-related assistance during the “Medical Outreach Program”, which was led by the Ministry of Health (MOH), and Local Government Unit (LGU) of Lamitan City on 15 June 2024, held in Barangay Calugusan.

A total of 1,896 beneficiaries from various barangays and nearby communities were provided medical assistance, free consultations, check-ups, laboratory testing services, dental service, tuli operations, and other humanitarian and health-related services.

The Health Ancillary Services Unit, headed by Sittie Majadiyah E. Omar, facilitated the turnover of medicines to the City Health Office (CHO) of Lamitan City.

The program was in collaboration with the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO), PhilHealth-Basilan, Sangguniang Kabataan, Rose Furigay Foundation, CHO-Lamitan City, Kasilasa Group, and Project TABANG.

In attendance, Lamitan City Mayor Roderick H. Furigay, together with the representatives from partner agencies and other key officials of the Bangsamoro Government, and LGU of Lamitan City.
