KABACAN CLUSTER, SGA —— The Office of the Chief Minister (OCM) through the Project TABANG’s Health Ancillary Services, conducted a medical and health assistance activity, during the Medical Outreach Program and Food Packs Distribution, which was spearheaded by the Special Geographic Areas Development Authority (SGADA) on Wednesday, 31 May 2023/11 Dhuʻl-Qiʻdah 1444 AH.
The outreach program was part of the “SGADA sa Barangay, Medical Mission and Distribution of Food Packs”, with the theme “Bringing Social Services to the Bangsamoro People”, that served 1,159 beneficiaries from medical and health services, such as: free medical consultation, check-ups, laboratory testing services, surgeries, and Operation Tuli (Oplan Tuli), a free circumcision session for the young Moros of Kabacan Cluster, Special Geographic Areas (SGA).
A total of 26 circumcision sessions and seven (7) minor surgeries was conducted, and 356 reading glasses were distributed during the activity.
The Health Ancillary Services Unit, headed by Sittie Majadiyah E. Omar, together with its medical team, extends its services by distributing medicines, and other medical and health assistance to the barangays of Nanga-an, Simbuhay, Sanggadong, Buluan, Pedtad, Simone and Tamped.
In attendance were SGADA Administrator Butch P. Malang, together with the representatives of members of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) Parliament MP Jaafar Apollo Mikhail L. Matalam, and MP Dr. Kadil M. Sinolinding, Jr., and other officials and key members of the Bangsamoro Government, Local Government Unit (LGU) of Kabacan, and Barangay Local Government Units (BLGUs) of Kabacan Cluster.
The SGADA sa Barangay activity was in partnership with the Ministry of Health (MOH), Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD), Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (MILG), Ministry of Trade, Investments, and Tourism (MTIT), Ministry of Labor and Employment (MOLE), BARMM READi, Project TABANG, Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) of Maguindanao, and Regional Medical and Dental Unit (RMDU) of the Police Regional Office of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PROBAR).
