MALAPATAN, SARANGANI —— In line with the provision of assistance to the Bangsamoro communities outside the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), mandated under Section 12, Article VI of Republic Act No. 11054, otherwise known as the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL), which aims to enhance their economic, social and cultural development, the Office of the Chief Minister Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim through Project TABANG, spearheaded the distribution of rice assistance and food packages to 100 individuals from the municipalities of Kiamba, and Malapatan, held in Barangay Sapu Masla, Municipality of Malapatan, Province of Sarangani on Tuesday, 31 December 2024.
Project Manager Abobaker I. Edris, led the distribution of 25-kg rice sacks, and food packs under the Ayuda Alay sa Bangsamoro (ALAB) of Project TABANG’s Humanitarian Response and Services.
Project Manager Edris emphasized that the establishment of Project TABANG aims to fulfill the pledge of the government of the day to deliver immediate direct services through its major components, such as the Health, Livelihood, and Humanitarian Services, and a manifestation to bring the government closer to its people, including the services for the Bangsamoro people who are residing outside the region’s core territory.
In attendance, MOLE Deputy Minister Tommy J. Nawa, MBHTE Chief Information and Technology Officer Haron D. Salah, together with other community leaders, and volunteers from the said areas.
Deputy Minister Nawa expressed his deepest gratitude to the Bangsamoro Government, and Project TABANG for the assistance and services given to the people of Malapatan, and Kiamba.
