Project TABANG delivers rice assistance and livelihood support to the flood-affected families and individuals in Pahamudin, SGA

PAHAMUDIN, SGA — In line with the directives from Chief Minister Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim that all ministries and offices of the Bangsamoro Government are encouraged to provide immediate assistance to the victims and affected families of the flood and landslide due to heavy rainfall in the provinces of the Bangsamoro region brought by the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), Project TABANG distributed rice assistance, livelihood support and basic medical kits in the municipality of Pahamudin on Thursday, 11 July 2024.

“Sa panahong ito, ating pinapayuhan ang mga local na pamahalaan ng BARMM na maging alerto at handa. Ang Bangsamoro Government ay hinihimuk ang publiko na makipag-tulungan sa inyong pinakamalapit na tanggapan at awtoridad para sa angkop na gabay at tulong. Ganun pa man nananatili kaming naka-antabay at naka-alalay sa inyo”, Chief Minister Ebrahim said in a video message posted on the official facebook page of the Bangsamoro Government.

A total of 1,600 of 25 kilograms rice sacks, 500 mixed vegetable seeds, and medicines and vitamins were distributed to the people of Pahamudin and other nearby communities.

Assistant Senior Minister, also Project Manager Abdullah “Dong” Cusain, represented by Deputy Project Manager Abobaker I. Edris, led the said distribution, in coordination with the Local Government Unit (LGU), together with other officials and volunteers from various Barangay Local Government Units (BLGUs) of Pahamudin.

Residents of Pahamudin expressed their gratitude for the help that the Bangsamoro Government, and Project TABANG provided for them.
