BANGSAMORO GOVERNMENT CENTER —— With this year’s theme “Sama-Samang Pagtataguyod sa Mas Mapayapa at Mas Masaganang Bangsamoro”, Project TABANG conducted various services to different areas of the Bangsamoro region, in line with the week-long regionwide celebration of the 4th Bangsamoro Foundation Day Anniversary on 21-27 January 2023.
The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), Chief Minister Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim expressed his sincere gratitude to the various partners, ministries, and organizations from both government and non-government sectors with the overwhelming support and positive outcome it has recieved in terms of helping others and celebrating the foundation day commemoration of the Bangsamoro, and to ensure development efforts gearing towards the attainment of the region’s goal to uplift the lives of the Bangsamoro people and establish the foundation of MORAL GOVERNANCE.
During the opening program on 21 January, the chief minister highlighted the major accomplishments of the Bangsamoro Government within 4 years, since its inception in 2019, including the Project TABANG, one of the flagship programs under the office of the chief minister.
“We also have the Project TABANG. Through its various programs on Health, Social Services and Agriculture. It was able to provide assistance to at least 716,544 individual beneficiaries —— Around 1,100 communities, and 100 cooperatives have likewise benefited from these programs —— TABANG has been instrumental in making the BARMM Government felt by our people especially during the height of the pandemic and it continues to serve as our bridge to tue grassroots level”, Chief Minister Ebrahim said in his report to the Bangsamoro.
“January 21 is not only a day that reminds us of our martyrs and families that are no longer with us but it is also a day that reminds us to do our best for the next generations after us”, he added.
Various services from the major components of the Project TABANG, such as: the Health Ancillary Services distributed medical supplies and medicines; turnovers of agricultural products and machinery to various cooperatives by the Livelihood Unit; and the distributions of food packed meals and the conduct of feeding programs of the Humanitarian Response and Services, conducted to the different provinces and areas within the Bangsamoro region.
Project Manager Dr. Tomanda D. Antok, together with the three (3) major component units of the Project TABANG, led the service-oriented activities during the week-long celebration of the 4th Bangsamoro Foundation Day, which anchored to the Government of the Day’s manifestation in fulfilling its pledge to bring the Bangsamoro Government closer to the people.
The founding anniversary commemorates the end of the four-decade conflict between the Bangsamoro and the Government of the Philippines and the start of genuine autonomy.
