BANGSAMORO GOVERNMENT CENTER —— Project TABANG participated the opening parade of the week-long celebration of the 5th Bangsamoro Foundation Day (BFD) with the theme “A Journey Towards Mutual Understanding, Peaceful Co-existence, and a Shared Future in the Bangsamoro” on Sunday, January 21, 2024.
Beginning at Governor Guttierez Avenue, the vibrant procession made its way to the Bangsamoro Government Center.
Chief Minister Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim led the said program, along with some members of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) Parliament, Local Government Units (LGUs), offices, agencies, and ministries of the Bangsamoro Government, including representatives from various international and international Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).
“May this auspicious day serve as a reminder that while our past may have been marked with injustices and systematic oppression it does not define what lies ahead. That being said, let us all join our hands and look ahead with zeal and determination on our journey towards mutual understanding, peaceful co-existence, and a shared future in the Bangsamoro. This year is the last full year of the extended transition period, let us make the most of out the opportunity given to us to be of service to the people”, Chief Minister Ebrahim said in his message.
“We in the Bangsamoro Government are able to do what we do because we are standing on the shoulders of our Mujahideens. Maraming salamat sa inyong lahat”, he added.
The BFD marks the 5th Founding Anniversary of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), in recognition of the dreams and aspiration of the people to chart their social, political, cultural and economic destiny in exercise of their right to self-determination.
