MAGUINDANAO DEL NORTE —— A total of 70 new fishing boats under the Oplan Bangsamoro Rapid Assistance (OBRA) sub-program, from the Office of the Chief Minister Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim through Project TABANG, distributed to 70 fisherfolk cooperatives from the provinces of Maguindanao del Norte, Maguindanao del Sur, and Special Geographic Areas (SGA), held at the Old Provincial Capitol of Maguindanao Province, Sultan Kudarat on Thursday, 28 December 2023.
OBRA seeks to support farmers and cooperatives in their daily operations, as well as in producing and improving crop production and provide additional economic goods and services.
The said distribution also aims to build a long-term program for farmers and fisherfolks, and a quick response livelihood intervention that addressed the lack of access to agricultural productions in the Bangsamoro region.
Livelihood Unit Head Mohammad Asnur K. Pendatun, OCM Chief Budget Officer Siettie Amina M. Abdulazis, along with its field team, led the inspection and distributions of the newly turned over fishing boats.
